Yoga Classes

Yoga Practice Pose

Classes offered at key points in the year help us attune to the rhythm of the seasons. Each offering is designed around what matters most at that time, weaving seasonal themes into practices that support our shifting energetic needs as the world changes around us.

Semi-Private Movement Groups

These small-group classes are designed for people who want more clarity, attention, and intention than a standard yoga class can offer, without the intensity or cost of fully private sessions.

Each group is limited to 4 participants, allowing me to tailor sequencing, pacing, and instruction to the shared needs of the group. Classes are grounded in Hatha yoga, with an emphasis on alignment, strength, steadiness, and practical movement that supports daily life.

Rather than drop-in classes, these groups run as short series, creating continuity, safety, and space to build skills over time.

Current Focus Areas

Bone Health & Osteoporosis-Informed Movement
A steady, thoughtful practice that supports bone health, balance, strength, and confidence with movement. Appropriate loading, clear alignment, and a calm pace are prioritized, without pushing range or intensity.

Alignment & Postural Support
Designed for people dealing with common postural patterns such as rounded shoulders, tight backs, and tight hip flexors. This group focuses on building strength, coordination, and awareness in a way that translates into everyday movement.

Shoulder Stability & Upper-Body Support
A slower, more intentional class for those experiencing shoulder discomfort, instability, or tension. Emphasis is placed on shoulder girdle strength, upper-back support, and integration with the core — without aggravating symptoms or forcing range.

Format & Pricing

  • Small, semi-private groups (4 people)

  • 60-minute sessions

  • Typically offered as a 4-session series

  • $60 per person per session

If you’re interested in one of these groups, or have a specific need you think might be a good fit for a small, focused class, you’re welcome to reach out. Some groups are formed by invitation, others by shared interest and availability.

Cancelation and Sickness Policy for Semi-Private Classes

Because these groups are intentionally small, your place is reserved for you, and continuity is important for everyone’s experience.

Series Commitment
Semi-private classes are offered as a series (e.g., 4 sessions). By registering, you are committing to the full series to allow the group to build continuity and for sessions to be carefully planned.

Missed Sessions / Rescheduling

  • If you are unable to attend a session, the group may choose to reschedule so that you can still participate.

  • This is arranged collaboratively, and everyone’s availability is taken into account.

  • If rescheduling is not possible, the session is considered missed and cannot be refunded.

Cancellations Before a Series Begins

  • Please notify me as soon as possible if you need to withdraw before the series starts.

  • Refunds may be offered if your spot can be filled by another participant; otherwise, payment is retained.

Instructor Cancellation

  • If I need to cancel a session, a make-up class or credit will be offered.

  • This policy ensures fairness, supports group continuity, and helps maintain a sustainable small-group structure.

Cancelation and Sickness Policy for Public Classes

  • Please do not attend if you are feeling ill.

  • Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel.

  • Cancel more than 24 hours in advance for a full refund for public classes.

  • Refunds are no longer available within 24 hours of the start of class.

  • If you can't make a day, you can send a friend in your place! Just contact Sheila to let her know of the change, so a waiver can be sent to your friend.

  • Communication is best - if you have extraneous circumstances don't hesitate to reach out.
